More Spring Cleaning

Well I spent most of today cleaning out from under my bed and beginning to tackle my closet! Its hard work when you have such a big closet!! :) But I can see myself making progress so I'm happy!

Now I'm watching High School Musical. I really like to watch and sing along :) Tonight they are showing how to do a lot of the dances so I'm having a blast and making a fool of myself :)

Anyway...I'm going to post some of my old thoughts onto my new blog! This is an old post from an older blog. I entitled it "Be on your best behavior now..." I find this more important than ever since I'm only days away from turning 16! (AAHH!!!)

Remember the phrase "Be on your BEST BEHAVIOR now..."???? As a kid, whenever we went anywhere it was a sure garuntee that we would hear this phrase from our parents. Now that we are older we are responsible to ALWAYS be on our "best behavior"...sometimes this is a "hard thing" when you get with your friends and start having fun and going crazy.

But in reality we still need frequent reminders to "be on our best behavior" because wherever we go there are little eyes watching us...and their little brains are processing our actions; and in their minds... whatever we do is okay because we are older than them.

We are natural role models for kids everywhere. They see us...they watch us...they remember us...and finally...they imitate us. To me...that is an even better reminder than the "Be on your best behavior now..." speech that I used to get.

We need to constantly remember that there are kids all around us whether they are siblings, neighbors, kids we babysit for, kids we are around in activities or in Childrens ministry, or kids at church...their eyes are ALWAYS on us...watching US for examples of how they should act towards their friends, their parents and kids younger than them.

We need to set good examples for them so that they can bloom and grow into the next role models.

Spring Cleaning

Well, its time again for spring cleaning. A task that gives me chills. If anyone knows me, they know that I HATE cleaning...so normally I just let my room get really messy which really makes no sense because then I have to do a LOT of cleaning all at once instead of a little every day.

I'm happy to report that I can see the floor AND my desk AND by bookshelf :)I've made lots of progress! I still have to do my closet (I got stuff EVERYWHERE in there) and I also have to clean from under my bed (more books)!!! Still have a ways to go but only a week to do it!

Oh yah, Grandma is coming on Wednesday
