First Day at CFA

Well, I just got home from my first day at CFA (that rhymes!!!!) I worked a 6 hour shift from 3-9pm (and ya want to know whats really funny...i've probably never worn shoes that long in my entire life!!!! lol) I work Friday from 3-10pm and Saturday from 4-closing which is probably like 11pm. Tonight they had me working the cash register and that was really fun!
About 20 minutes before I clocked out I was starting to get really tired and once i said "here's your nemolade sir" instead of lemonade...everyone(including myself) got a real kick out of that one lol!!!! But all in all it was a really fun night and I'm excited to go back tomorrow! It gets really crazy sometimes and you have to kind of dance your way through the kitchen but it was really fun! The people I work with are all really fun and so helpful! Well I better get to bed since I have to babysit before going to work tomorrow!

Working Woman

Well the day started out pretty normal...woke up, did school but this afternoon was quite the and I had prepared a list of places to go so that I could apply for a job. Chick-fil-a was first on the list. As we drove into the parking lot I made a quick and humorous prayer that made mom laugh "Lord, please just let me walk in the door and someone says 'you're hired'" So I go in and fill out the application and while waiting in line for someone to talk to the manager walks by and asks me if I'm looking for work. We sit down and she's asking me all these questions and I'm pretty much sitting there smiling and trying not to look nervous while answering these questions. After about an hour I guess, she looks at me, smiles and says 'here's the deal...i want to see that smile when you come into've got a job' (I almost screamed right there but I didn't!) So now I'm an official employee of Chick-fil-a...tomorrow I go to i better get crackin on memorizing the menu =P PRAISE GOD!!!!!

Waiting on the World To Change

I hang around at Cato for quite a while before and after my class (mostly to work on lab) and I've seen this group from level 3 or 4 hanging together and one day Danielle comes over to find out my name since she sees me around all the time. I was invited to join their group to sign some songs next wednesday at central campus in the Quad from 10-2. I'm the only level 2 in this group and I still cannot believe it! I'm really excited!
We each get to sign our own song or poem and I asked if it could be a Christian song since the Gospel Song is the only other song I know in sign and one of the other girls Kaitlyn said yes because she is doing Amazing Grace (My chains are gone). Then we will all do Waiting on the World to Change. That video (the link is in the title) is really neat to watch. I do the part about "It's not that we don't care, we just know that the fight ain't fair....One day our generation is gonna rule the population"
So anyway thats the latest "news" on the homefront lol I better get onto my schoolwork!

American Idol - Shout To The Lord

Watch this!!! I'm not sure if its beautiful because of the vocals or beautiful because thats how a secular show decided to end the night. Wow

The Rebelution: Part 1

I think I finally understand the meaning of "Do Hard Things"...its a commitment for the rest of your life and not just for the teen years. Starting now helps you grow so that you can do harder things as an adult. Yesterday was other words for it. I am completely excited to apply all that I learned.
Yesterday I saw some of my good friends come into the family that I've been praying for for a long time. It was so amazing to see God at work in their lives as they did a hard thing by standing up when Mr. Harris(Gregg) asked. The book is also amazing! I've only read a little but I've underlined a lot...the message that the Harris twins have is important and life changing. Through an exercise Alex and Brett did with us, we made it "rain" in the room. You know how it goes, rubbing your hands together, snapping, patting your legs and finally clapping together. Four groups in one room doing the same thing made a big sound but just one person doing it won't make a very big sound...thats why we cannot go this alone! We are all in it together...we are all running the race. Will we trip and fall? YES!!! But thats why we are we can help each other up.

Only 2 more days!!!

Only 2 more days until the Rebelution conference...I am SOOOOOOOOO excited! I hope a ton of people go because the message the Harris guys have to share is one of great importance so if you aren't doing anything this Saturday...its not too late to sign up!!

ASL and other things

Well, I've got about 15 minutes before LAB opens up and I'm sitting here in the computer lab with about a zillion other people. I really enjoy CPCC and I'm looking forward to being a full time student this fall! I think I'm going to go ahead and enter the Interpreter Training Program.

Well this week is going to be pretty insane I've got something going on every single day. I really do enjoy being busy so its not a bad thing. Only a few more days until The Rebelution! I cannot wait!!! Hannah is riding up with me and possibly Janelle to so that will be really fun. Well I better get into lab and work on Lab 6 (that one is really tough)

So thats it for a while...ciao
