Chick-fil-A (Joshy-Washy on headset and other stories)

Ok, prepare yourself for more Chick-fil-A stories because I've got a couple =)

Well, last night was Josh's last night at work before his surgery and he was on headset for most of the night. Everyone has a nickname and his is Joshy-Washy (yeah i know...sad thing ain't it?) and one of the managers Miss Gayle would call him by his nickname like every 10 seconds "here's your shake Joshy-Washy" etc. well once, Gayle (this is the manager now!) told Josh to answer headset and use his nickname...haha. Josh didn't want to of course so he didn't...but about three cars later he answered the headset like this "Hi, its a great day at Chick-fil-A my name is Joshy-Washy, how can I serve you?" and he didn't even realize he'd done it!!!!!! The person at the drivethrough when he said that was a STATE TROUPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think we were laughing about that for 10 minutes it was so funny!

Also last night, we went through a slower spell so Zach was bored...Jared(Team Leader) told Zach to go get all the trash from everywhere (dining room, kitchen, outside) and put it in the dumpster. Zach being Zach, said "Jared, I would love to do that for you but I can't get ALL the trash...we don't have a trash bag big enough to put you in and I don't want to take the time to throw you in the dumpster" Haha I thought Jared was going to die laughing! It was hilarious!

Speaking of CFA...they had me help train someone last night! I could NOT believe it since I'M rather new! But we had a great time.

Anyway....thats pretty much all for now. Graduation is less than a week away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To all of my Heroes

This song is really special and I heard this song and wanted to take the time to thank all of those with special needs kids or adopted kids...thanks for making a difference in their lives...in my eyes, you're a hero!

"Heroes" by The Isaacs
Momma combs his hair and Daddy helps him brush his teeth
Day after day for thirty years the same routine
The special needs he lives with make life seem so unfair
But he thanks God every day cause he knows Mom and Dad are there

(chorus) He's a hero and she's a hero
It doesn't matter that nobody knows their name
They keep on giving to make life worth living
Might go unnoticed but they're heroes just the same

They tried for many years to have a baby of their own
But God knew a little girl who didn't have a home
Someone else's burden was their blessing in disguise
And now she's got a Mom and Daddy there to hold her when she cries

(chorus)

Every single parent who must carry twice the load
And those who sacrifice to raise a child that's not their own
They dedicate their time to make a difference in someone else's life
And in my eyes

(chorus)

They might go unnoticed but they're heroes just the same

Ok, So I need to post more...

I guess the title says it all...I need to post more, but these days all it seems that I have to talk about is Chick-fil-A and I know no one wants to hear any more of the crazy stories but too bad because I've got a fun one =D Last one for a week, I promise =D
Ok so basically I've worked every single day this week except Wednesday and I was at CFA on Wednesday to change the schedule so I could work for this other girl who needed off Friday...anyway so I've been at CFA every day :P
On Monday (Mondays are ALWAYS slow) we were just hanging out because everything was stocked and it was only about 30 minutes before we closed...at 9:30 guess who walked in the door? the ENTIRE Presbyterian College Baseball Team comes in and they are very hungry lol!!! So Jared and I took the orders of about 50 guys on 2 registers lol!!! So that was an interesting surprise =D
Anyway, I'm sooo excited to see Bob Kauflin tomorrow! I haven't seen him since Celebration 2003 so that's 5 years ago...wow huh?
Today a few of us got together to go see Prince Caspian...Eric and Melly Rose D, Nathan D, Brandon Calvert and Josh and Jordan Heath. We had a great time!!! (With the exception of getting up at 7:30 on a SATURDAY...I had a blast lol) So anyway, I've got to get ready for work...it's going to be a late night again tonight...Next week I'm only working 3 days -.- so it's going to be slow. Anyway that's all for now!

On The Other Hand...

Today I feel like Tevye from Fiddler On The Roof...anyone who has watched this movie knows that Tevye is always debating with himself and one of his most commonly used phrases is "On the other hand..."
Today for me, I'm debating my future...what I should do, because now that I'm on the doorstep of graduation and full-time college is looking me in the face, I'm doubting myself, my ability, and my choices. Many have heard me say "Yes, I go to CPCC and this fall I'll be in the Interpreter Training Program and after another 2 years at CPCC I'll transfer to Gardner Webb or UNC-Greensboro." But now I'm not so sure...I can't decide if its just nerves or if this is that still small voice telling me that this isn't where I'm supposed to go.
I'm thinking about taking a break from CPCC this fall and starting up again come Spring 2009 but, I'm afraid that I'll forget what I've learned! But if I do this, I can work full time and save up some money to take a class in the spring.
ON THE OTHER HAND....if I go ahead and enter the program...to be a certified interpreter you HAVE to have a 4 year degree...I'm not sure I want 4 years of college and to spend money on something I can't really use in the work world...I'm not sure thats the smartest thing...at least right now. Which leads me back to my first option...but then again this is confusing so I'll drop it =)
And work....I'm still loving it, I met Ms. Tammy today when I went in to get someone's phone number and change the schedule...Today is the only day I'm not working...but I was there today so technically I'll have been there every day this week =D haha. Gotta go work on some stuff!

Prayer for a Friend

I've got a prayer request for whoever reads this blog...my friend Josh (I work with him) needs prayer. Back in October during a football game he hurt his knee...well it still hasn't healed and he just found out this week that he's got a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus(aka his knee is torn up really bad) that requires surgery...his surgery is May 29th and he'll be out of commission for 3 or 4 months...so please pray for the surgery to go well and for quick healing, Thanks guys!!!

Chick-fil-A (Initiation and other stories)

Haha well, I spose i'm part of the family now at CFA...I was initiated (in part from what I hear) last night haha. Afterwards, Matt goes "when everyone teases you that means they like you...so now you're part of the family!"

Anyway, so while I was cleaning trays in the kitchen, Berto sneaks up behind me and stuffs a handfull of lettuce down the back of my shirt (it was wet and COLD!!!!) they all got a GREAT laugh out of that one :P and after I fixed my shirt (lettuce-free this time) Matt scolded Berto for being mean all the while having Ice in his hand which he promptly dropped down the back of my shirt and saying "Now THIS is mean" and running off...everyone was laughing so hard I thought for sure we'd have to call the paramedics on a couple of them :D After, Jared was telling me that Matt does that to everybody and Josh (standing right behind me) goes "He's never done that to me!!!" and Jared was like "well he only does it to the people he likes" hahahaha I thought I was going to DIE laughing!!!! (Poor Josh haha)

I was cleaning up the dining room with Matt where I heard about several other fun things...like if they clean up the kitchen, they have wars with the little cherry tomotoes lol or they have wars with the spray bottles or towels :D (This is going to be fun!)

all of my co-workers have figured out that if they come up behind me, poke me or throw something by my head, i'll jump a bazillion feet so they loooove to do this and lately i keep getting teased by all the customers who call me Chelsea Clinton (augh!) but mostly we just have a TON of fun (as mentioned above lol)!!!! i love the people i work with! they're all nut jobs (i guess thats why I fit in haha)

oh my gosh the other day like 4 guys come in and they were laughing and carrying on and they all had on t-shirts with different sportz team names on them...me being me said something about how cool it was that they could still be friends even if they rooted for different teams...the entirety of the guys behind front counter with me started laughing...carlos actually had tears in his eyes he was laughing so hard and i'm totally oblivious...the guys were cracking up too. Turns out that all the teams were different sportz and leagues! baseball, and football teams 2 minor 2 major and i was totally clueless! but the guys thought it was pretty funny and every time they came to get refills they would try to quiz me (I have a really good excuse though which i use quite often...i have no brothers!!! haha) oh i love my job!!!!!!
Well anyway, I've got to get ready to go babysit and then the last Dance!!!
